The general public has a vital role to play in helping contain any outbreak by following the latest national health and travel advice. People are encouraged to follow basic hygiene precautions, such as washing hands frequently, not touching their face and covering their nose and mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing.

Covid-19 helpline: 0800 028 2816 - the helpline is open Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 10.00pm; Saturday and Sunday, 9.00am to 5.00pm. This is for advice if you have no symptoms.

The advance sale of lairs (where not associated with an interment) at Aberdeenshire cemeteries has been temporarily suspended. This suspension includes associated administrative processes such as lair transfers and the selling of unwanted lairs to the council.
The processing and approval process for headstones has been temporarily suspended.
Country parks and open spaces remain open but social distancing guidelines must be strictly observed.
Toilets in country parks, open spaces and in cemeteries have also closed.
Play areas are closed with immediate effect.
