The Haven sheltered housing

The Haven Sheltered HousingThe Haven sheltered housing scheme is situated in the centre of the traditional market town of Maud.

The scheme has 12 self-contained flats and four linked cottages. The flats are a mix of bed-sit type and one bedroom properties. The cottages have one bedroom.

The properties have fitted kitchens, central heating and double glazing. The flats are fitted with door entry systems. All properties are connected to the community alarm system.

Facilities at the scheme include:

  • a large communal room that can be used for chatting with friends or simply meeting up with other residents for a cup of tea or a game of cards
  • communal laundry facilities
  • a lift

There are two guest rooms available for use by relatives or friends who don't live locally.

Regular social activities can be facilitated by the Sheltered Housing Officer which includes:

  • tea and blether mornings and afternoons
  • social evenings and entertainment

The Haven is only 300 metres from the Post Office and Railway Museum.
