Snow clearing

We clear main roads first. Other roads are cleared after the main routes.

Snowploughs and gritters are not able to manoeuvre easily and parked vehicles often prevent them from clearing the snow un housing areas.

We may not be able to keep all roads and paths clear when there is heavy snow or ice on the roads.

Grit bins

Grit bins are provided at various locations for your use. You can contact the roads department to request a grit bin for your road.
