Fraserburgh South Park Primary School and Nursery Class praised by Education Scotland

Fraserburgh South Park Primary School and Nursery Class has been praised by Education Scotland following a recent inspection. 

Inspectors highlighted the positive learning environment, enthusiastic pupils, and dedicated staff as key strengths of the school.

The inspection identified several areas of excellence, including:
• Happy, enthusiastic, and confident children who take pride in their school and nursery.
• Strong teamwork among staff and leadership, fostering a calm, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
• Effective professional learning that has improved teaching and learning in writing and numeracy.
• High-quality nursery experiences, with well-designed indoor and outdoor spaces that encourage curiosity and creativity.

The report also outlined areas for further improvement, including expanding meaningful learning activities, increasing pupil-led learning opportunities, and refining how children’s progress is tracked—particularly in the nursery.

Aberdeenshire Council will work closely with the school to support its ongoing improvement journey.
