This property was a full renovation and extension of a 1970s traditional bungalow. The restoration retained elements of the original building to preserve the character of the building. The renovation include the re-insultation of the entire envelope and installation of under floor heating, overall reducing heat loss and cold bridging whilst increasing air tightness.

The judges were impressed to see the adaptation of a building of this age and design, taking the time to reconfigure the space rather than it being demolished and replaced with a modern dwelling.
