Issues for the Main Issues Report
A key part of preparing a Main Issues Report is identifying the 'main issues', at both a settlement and policy level. This will enable the preparation of the next Local Development Plan (LDP) to focus on what needs to change, in terms of the policy framework and the scale and location of new development allocations. The Development Plan Scheme notes that the process of identifying ‘issues’ will be supported by the analysis of the existing LDP and engagement with Community Councils, focus groups and other interests.
