Pay by card
In May 2018 the chip and pin function was removed from our machines due to a change in legislation relating to security. At the time, the cost of upgrading the machines was prohibitive.
In June 2019 we began to reintroduce card payments by trialling two machine upgrades, one in Inverurie and one in Peterhead. Another machine in Peterhead has been fully replaced and 11 more machines in Inverurie, Peterhead and Stonehaven are being upgraded to accept contactless and chip card payments. All 41 machines will be upgraded by April 2020.
Pay by coins
To obtain a parking ticket using coins:
- enter your registration details on the keypad on the machine
- insert the correct money for the tariff you require
- press green button for ticket
- display ticket on vehicle
