Secondary school places

You don't need to do anything if you want your child to attend the secondary school in their catchment area (school zone). Your child will be automatically enrolled.

Request to attend an out of zone school

If you wish your child to attend a secondary school in another zone, you need to contact your chosen secondary school to discuss enrolment. After this you will need to complete an out of zone school placing request, to apply for a space.

Register after the start of school year

To register your child after the start of the school year, please contact your chosen secondary school.

Admission limits for secondary schools

We review admission limits for secondary schools each year, and the number of in-zone places is adjusted to meet the demand for that year group. These variations are approved by Education and Children’s Services Committee.
