Technology Enabled Care and the TEC Room

Technology Enabled Care (TEC) is the use of technology to provide health and social care services at home. TEC helps people to live safely and independently, and to manage their health more effectively.

The TEC Room

We have set up a TEC Room in Peterhead to show how this technology can help you. The TEC Room is a welcoming, homely space to help you learn about the technology options available. There are live demonstrations of some of the technology.

You can find out how a smart speaker can be used to set reminders and control devices such as lighting, a video doorbell and an electronic curtain opener. You can also see some examples of equipment available from our community and alarm telecare service, Aberdeenshire Lifeline, such as fall sensors and pendant alarms.
