Apply for grants for sport facilities or clubs

Sports facilities and clubs grants are available through the Aberdeenshire Educational Trust, to help fund maintenance of sports facilities and support of clubs.

Eligibility

Not all areas of Aberdeenshire are covered by this grant, please check if you live within the boundary area.

Sports facilities grants

You can apply for a sports facility grant to help fund activities such as:

• Maintaining playing fields
• Swimming pools
• Hosting sports events
• Providing sports clothing and equipment

Club grants

You can apply for to help fund your club if the club provides educational opportunities for students to:

• Learn new skills
• Explore their interests
• Make new friends

For example, a choir club who help students develop their musical talents and teamwork skills through singing and performing.

What happens next

Applications will be assessed, and we will send applicants an email to confirm whether they meet the criteria for a grant.

Please note all applications for sports facilities and clubs will be decided by the trustee representatives which meet quarterly. This means it may take up to 12 weeks or more for a decision to be made.

Grants will be paid directly to the sport facilities bank account.
