Education Maintenance Allowance

If your child is 16 years old or over, then the Education Maintenance Allowance could help them through school or college.

Free school meals

A Free School Meal is a school lunch provided free of charge by Aberdeenshire Council to the children of parents and carers on a lower income.

Clothing grant

Clothing Grants are available for parents or carers on a lower income to help with the cost of buying a school uniform.

Free school transport

Free home-to-school transport is provided to primary age children if they live more than 2 miles from their zoned school, and to secondary age children if they live more than 3 miles from their zoned school.
