Integration Joint Board

Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership logThe Integration Joint Board (IJB) is a joint board of Aberdeenshire Council and NHS Grampian. It oversees the Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership (AHSCP). The IJB manage adult Social Care and Health services in Aberdeenshire.

 

Legal responsibilities

Publication scheme

The IJB is legally required to produce and maintain a publication scheme that sets out the information it publishes and how it can be accessed.

Legal responsibility to involve people

The IJB membership must include people who can represent the views of those using the services and unpaid carers. These representatives are stakeholder members. This means they are able to comment on and influence decision making, but are a non-voting member.

Membership

The IJB consists of 5 Aberdeenshire Councillors and 5 NHS Grampian Board members. There are also non-voting members which include council and NHS officers as well as representatives from users of adult health and social care services, carers groups, trade unions and the third sector.

IJB members must declare any outside interests. For example any other organisations they represent, if they have shares in companies, and if they have received any gifts relating to their work on the IJB.
