Or you can buy soup, sandwiches and fresh fruit daily at the centre. Ellon Resource Centre promotes healthy choices and has been given the Healthyliving Award.
Lunch times at the Benchmark and Ellon Can-Do community based projects are from 12:30pm to 1pm. You need to bring a packed lunch.
You can join our advocacy group to share ideas, make suggestions and talk about any problems at the day service. Some of our advocates are also involved in the Aberdeenshire Powerful Voices Together Self-Advocacy group.
We hold service user meetings every six weeks. Everyone who uses the day service can go to these meetings. You can ask questions and share your views about how the day service is run.
You can ask a social worker to refer you. When you first visit, we’ll ask you what you want from the service. You’ll have the chance to try different things to find out what you like. You can choose what you want to do. You’ll be matched with a key worker. They’ll support you and make sure things are going okay.
Why not be a volunteer? Everyone has something to offer.
If you have a few hours a week to spare and are looking to put your skills to good use, we have a wide range of activities volunteers can be involved in.
Volunteers can help in group activities such as:
- training projects - computers Ellon Editors; woodwork Benchmark; recycling Ellon Can-Do
