Disruptions to bin collections

Occasionally, bin collections are missed for a variety of reasons including weather conditions, road closures, or vehicles being in for maintenance and repair.

What to do if we missed your bin

If your bin was missed please leave it out in the first instance. 

If the missed collection is listed on this page, you don't need to report it. If it isn't listed, before reporting a missed bin please make sure that: 

  • You presented your bin by 7am
  • The bin was not collected by 4.45pm
  • The bin was not tagged

If you find yourself accumulating additional household recycling and waste, please remember you can take it to a recycling centre. 

To view your household collections schedule, check your bin dates.

When we will collect

Where we don't otherwise indicate on this page, if we don't collect your bin within five days, we will collect excess on the next scheduled collection day for that same bin, unless it was originally tagged or not presented.

Recently missed bins

23rd April 2026

We weren't able to collect household bins from these streets in Aboyne, we hope to come back the next day:

  • Court Drive
  • Linklater Crescent
  • St Machar Avenue
  • St Machar Drive
  • St Machar Park
  • St Machar Place

We weren't able to collect trade glass from these areas, we hope to come back on Monday 27th April unless stated otherwise below:

  • Balmedie
  • Collieston
  • Newburgh
  • Westhill, we hope to come back on Tueasday 28th April

21st April 2026

We weren't able to collect household bins in David Street, Inverbervie. We will return by Friday 24th April.

20th April 2026

We weren't able to collect trade glass from the following areas:

  • Udny
  • Westhill

17th April 2026

We weren't able to collect household bins in the area of Cabrach, Cabrach Loop Huntly, we will be returning on Thursday 23rd April.

16th April 2026

We weren't able to collect household bins in the area of Monkshill, Turriff, we will not be returning for and extra of this material will be uplifted on the next scheduled collection. 

15th April 2026

We weren't able to collect household bins in the following areas, we will pick up excess on next collection day:

We weren't able to collect trade cardboard and paper recycling in the following areas, we will return on Friday, 17th April:

14th April 2026
