Roads maintenance and improvements
We maintain over 5400 kilometres of roads within Aberdeenshire and are fully committed to improving the condition of these roads.
Find out more about what road maintenance is performed and how to report specific issues:
- Street lights maintenance
- Flooding, road gullies and drainage
- Roadside grass cutting, weeds and overgrown hedges or trees
- Surface dressing
- Mud on the road
- Footpaths maintenance
- Road signs

Our roads are also swept periodically based on their class and usage, and on an ad hoc basis when conditions require. Residential areas are swept at least once a year. This is managed by our Recycling and Waste team. Find out more about street sweeping.
